Yaa-Ashantewaa K Archer-Ngidi - Empowering our nation

Facilitator, Motivational Speaker, Afrikan History Educator, Lecturer, Yaa Ashantewaa was born to Ghanaian parents but grew up in the Caribbean. Fifteen years ago she has married a South African man and now considers herself a true Zulu woman.

Yaa Ashantewaa has had several International Training/Facilitating as well as speaking engagements and has done extensive travelling in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and the Americas. Ashantewaa has inter-disciplinary experience working with topics related to education, personal and organisatioal development, youth and community development and inter-cultural learning with the emphasis on African-Centered Approach.

Ashantewaa has started and managed several successful projects and has been engaged as a lecturer, consultant, co-ordinator, motivational speaker and facilitator in many forums.

She has developed African Centered Leadership Training programs, facilitated workshops and conferences and worked as a liaison between organizations and projects in the Caribbean and Africa.

Aashantewaa's presence, the passion and energy that is used as she speaks will enthral any audience with her stories of overcoming intercultural challenges. She speaks with sincere authenticity, which makes her all the more captivating. Audiences are challenged, inspired and engaged.

With Aashantewaa's extensive African and Asian experiences, she always includes lessons from these communities.

Her 'signature' presentation entitled "The Engaging Manager" explores the principle of engagement and engaging people in all spheres of work. Is the skill of engagement something we are born with or is it a learnable skill? This presentation is guaranteed to help her audience become ignited in their own right, to inspire them to develop an effective tool in engaging people.

She also offers a full-day workshop on "The Engaging Manager - the Power of Engagement", including the skills required to build and operate in an effective engaging environment.

Presently Yaa Ashantewaa is the proud owner, Siyavaya Afrika! And is the speechwriter for the African Union.
