Driving the KWID

Driving the KWID

Author: Tomas Yoko
Date: 2016-12-16
This hot new SUV-inspired hatch from Renault will certainly make waves in the entry segment of the South African motoring scene. Here's what Renault's Head of KWID Styling, David Durand had to say about it, "The KWID is an entirely new car which offers a lot of surprises both inside and out, including features from the next segment up,"

For me, one of the most impressive features from the next segement up is the 7 inch coulour touchscreen with MediaNav navigation, complete with Bluetooth, USB, AUX and MP3 playback.

Raised ground clearance and SUV inspired styling will make this little go-getter very popular in South Africa. During my road test of the Kwid I was pleasantly surprised by the gutsy performance from the 1.0 litre Smart Control efficiency engine, which I was sceptical about at first but after driving the Kwid, I realised it was more than capable.

The spec level will also be drawing customers into the showroom at Renault Ballito, with a driver's airbag, electric windows in front, airco and remote central locking, the product offering from the Kwid just keeps getting better.

Fuel consumption figures are a mind blowing 4.71 litres per 100 kilometres and the fuel tank holds just 28 litres.

You would be well advised to take a Kwid for a test drive, contact Renault Ballito and their service orientated sales staff will glaldy arrange to put you behind the wheel. You can reach them on 032 946 5820 or visit their showroom at 8 Moffat Drive Ballito and experience the new Reanult Kwid.

Renault's new entry segment contender is the SUV-inspired KWID hatchback available from Renault Ballito in Expression and upper-level Dynamique variants, call 032 - 946 5820.
