Celebration Time

Celebration Time

Date: 2016-04-01
Everyone at sometime in their lives has either been to or had a party. We all celebrate milestones in our lives such as birthdays, engagements, weddings, achievements, certain holidays etc, and this is done by being with people, having fun, consuming food and drink, dressing up, singing and dancing!

Platform Jazz is set to bring you jazz party favourites from the gangster and Great Gatsby parties, evergreen tunes from the Swing era, conga line latin favourites and songs that just celebrate life. This is 'perhaps their best and most jovial show to date' according to Billy Suter of the Mercury!

Listen out for great favourites such as 'Mac the Knife', 'Feeling Good', 'Rum and coca cola', 'Tequila!', 'Here's to life' , 'let's fall in love', 'C'est si bon' , 'What a wonderful world' and 'Quando quando' to name a few. Join Jeff Judge on the sax, Dunc the Hunc on the trombone, Kirsten The Kitten on the clarinet, Melvin Peters on the keys, Andreas on the bass, Bashful Bruce on the drums, Songbird Shelley McLean and Cathy Hotlips Peacock on the trumpet . Come along and re-live your own party memories as you celebrate life with Platform Jazz in 'Celebration Time' -.

Platform Jazz will be performing a "donations only" performance at Doone Village in Pinetown at 5pm on Saturday 2nd April. No bookings required. Then for those that live out in the Northern suburbs they will be performing the show at the Barnyard theatre on Sunday 3rd April from 7.30pm.

Ticket prices are R120 and bookings for that can be made by calling the Barnyard theatre on 031 - 566 3045. Don't miss this show. Their music is finger clicking good!
