North Coast Artists' MOAG Exhibition Award Winners

The opening of the annual North Coast Artists MOAG art exhibition at La Lucia Mall went off in great style celebratingits 40-year anniversary. It was a convivial gathering of artists and art lovers over a glass of wine and snacks.

John de Canha, general manager of the Beverly Hills, was the guest speaker for the event. John also presented awards to the artists who obtained the highest marks for worksubmitted for the MOAG juried exhibition in the various categories.

The MOAG trophy was awarded to Thelma Buzzard who produced the best on show. Barbara Becke, Mark Schwartz, Francis Callanan, June Dovey, Syd Sellars and Linda Cousens all received awards in the different sections for painting, drawing or alternative art.

The art exhibition ends on Sunday, 6 November. Commission on all sales of art from the exhibition will be donated to the Animal Anti-Cruelty League. There is a raffle prize, donated by the Beverly Hills, of a 2-night stay for two, of which all proceeds will go towards the Animal Anti-Cruelty League.
