Bookings are now open for the most sought-after Business Dinner in Durban: The Durban Chamber's Annual Gala Dinner.


The Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established 159 years ago and has since held an Annual Dinner. Not surprising, this event is regarded as a highlight in the Durban and KZN business calendar.


The dinner is held in April, the ICC has been the most suited venue being able to accommodate the number of guests normally expected.In recent years this has been between nine hundred and a thousand, most of who have been hosted at corporate tables acquired by the major companies in the city.


Every second year, 2015 being one, the Annual Dinner includes the inauguration of a new Chamber President. The president elect for the next two years hails from Transnet where his portfolio lies within general management.


It has also become customary for the Chamber to make its annual Alec Rogoff BEE Awards at the Dinner.A keynote speaker addresses the audience. This key person is one who holds a high position within business, entertaining and has a significant business message to convey. Past keynote speakers have included; 2013 - Dr Mamphela Ramphele, 2014 - Robbie Brozin, the founder of Nandos.
