Progress at Manor Estates accelerates
In the beginning of 2017, HBR Projects launched a development, Manor Gardens, within Manor Estates. The development consists of a total of 147 apartments, 24 of whichcommenced construction in January. Four months down the line construction of the first 24 units is ahead of schedule, with the roof going on one of the four initial blocks already.
The impact of the developers on the estate has not just been limited to the construction of the new units, but to the estate as a whole. HBR Projects have invested both their time and money into uplifting the security, the facilities and the landscaping of the estate. The updating of the landscaping has seen HBR Projects and the Manor Estate Home Owners appoint Uys and White Landscape architects and Leitch Landscapes to facilitate this upgrade, which will include planting up the green areas of the estate. This constitutes 40% of the total areaas well as the introduction soon of biking and running trails.
This hive of activity has triggered an upswing in sales activity of the new units, with approximately 60% of the new phase sold out. Most of the interest has stemmed from young professionals moving to the greater Ballito area, who are looking for an upmarket property in a secure environment within close proximity to Ballito, the Airport and Umhlanga.
The first units are expected to be complete by July 2017. This will allow potential investors to witness the finer detailand finishes, which are a cut above, with everything from Caesarstone countertops to Grohe taps, and full-bodied porcelain tiles. Cost saving and energy efficient elements such as induction geysers, LED lights and UPS inverters are all part of the deal.
