Hospice needs your help

Hospice needs your help

Date: 2015-03-27
"This is the prayer of many South Africans daily... and we at Hospice are very well aware of this," says CEO, Neil McDonald.

"We do not run a feeding scheme, we do not have money to buy food, we are in Health Care sector and offer a Free services to people with life threatening diseases and support to their families, but cannot walk away if a patient has not eaten for the day or there is no food in the house."

"We thank God for individual people, churches and businesses who donate food to us, and we have volunteers who decant and re-pack them in smaller quantities to make sure that every patient in need can get a food parcel."

"We must remember that the nursing staff still have to carry this by hand to the houses of the patients, some 1km from the roads in the rural areas where we provide care."

"We need people or businesses to please sponsor some plastic carrying bags and smaller plastic bags to put thesamp and beans, sugar, mealie meal and what ever gets donated in.

We are very thankful for them helping our nursing staff with social interventions where needed. There are many patients with hectic social problems and sick patients can't get to the offices of social development. Anyone need to contact Hospice, call 039973 1783/0277 or Hospice@scottnet.co.za.
