Beyond the classroom school's workshop

Beyond the classroom school's workshop

Date: 2013-06-20
The Municipality's Imagine Durban project cordially invites all teachers to an inspiring seminar and launch of a lessons-learned publication on activities that can take place beyond the classroom. This exciting seminar will take place on the 27th of June 2013 at the Botanic Gardens, Visitors Centre from 09h30 - 11h30.

The Imagine Durban schools sector, has engaged with other active stakeholders, (namely the Domino Foundation (formerly Indlela); the Red Cap foundation and UNISA's 'Bright Site' project) to launch a lessons- learned publication; the Recreation Clubs for young Learners- A Guide to maximising School Resources.

Come and share the experiences of the staff and pupils of the Amaoti No 3 Combined School when Mrs G Maphumulo, the school principal, showcases the best practice from their recreation club demonstration project conducted by Imagine Durban.

Ms Natasja Ambrosio the Business Sustainability Manager for the Mr Price Group said that the RedCap Foundation promotes the development of learners' skills and positive character building, enabling pupils to be responsible citizens; to engender mutual respect and to develop a culture of model citizenship.
