Creative Arts Holiday Programme for school children

Creative Arts Holiday Programme for school children

Date: 2017-07-07

Keeping the children busy these holidays has never been easier! If your child is between the ages of 8 and 15, book their space at the Creative Arts Holiday Programme to be held at the Chris Seabrooke Music Centre at Durban High School from Monday, 10th July to Friday, 14th July.

This exciting new addition to the holidays will comprise of music classes by industry professionals from the likes of Natalie Rungan, Bruce Baker and Phumlani Mtiti who will teach children to play a variety of instruments, as well as develop and enhance vocal abilities. Children will also play fun musical games and make new friends; and for those who can already play a musical instrument, you are encouraged to bring it along to have a "jam session" with other aspiring musicians.

For added entertainment, kids can participate in cupcake decorating, card making and other fun activities.

Throughout the duration of the programme, children also stand a chance to win prizes through Marshall Music in Umhlanga.

"The program is designed to give students a musical experience and opportunity in a supportive, funenvironment, guided by CSMC premier musicians and teachers," says Natalie Rungan, Director of the Music Centre at Durban High School and well-known name in the music industry.

To be a part of this programme, the cost is R100 per child per day from 8am till 1pm.
