Well it is not so bad, at least not as bad as some countries out there. Look at the British Prime Minister openly war mongering and trying to force his MP's to vote in favor of air strikes in Syria. How despicable! The downing of a Russian fighter jet by Turkish military is an obvious indication of the total confusion that reigns supreme in the region. I mean ISIS must be laughing their heads off while chopping other heads off as the coalition fires on its allies and behaves like schoolgirls at a fashion picnic. "I won't play with you." "I'll play with you." "I wont play with you." It is absurd to think that these people are the leadership we look to for a solution to this abominable crisis.
Putin hit the nail on the head when he accused Turkey of protecting their oil trade with ISIS. On one hand they want to destroy ISIS but on the other hand they are getting such a good deal they can't look past the money. To hell with all the innocent women and children dying like flies in the conflict, there is money to be made. This is the kind of thinking coming out of the Middle East. But it is not just Turkey thinking like this, America want to rid the world of terrorists like ISIS but not terrorists like the rebel group that they support with weapons and ammunition.
Then there is this ridiculous overspending on a convention to discuss climate change while we continue to invest in our dependency on fossil fuels. This Paris convention is a complete waste of money. After 25 years of United Nations lead climate talks we are still burning more fossil fuels than ever before. We are now at the one degree Celsius mark, indicating the fastest temperature increases in our geological history. Fracking is the new pink. What are we doing? The oil industry is destroying us and we are investing in the oil industry. Where is the leadership?
Then there are the Banksters at it again with a former Standard Bank unit paying a fine for bribery and corruption in Tanzania. Julius Malema has threatened to "occupy" ABSA Bank's branches until they give him money, which I am not sure what he will with.
Allegations against our President consorting with gangsters in the Western Cape to make the province ungovernable so that he can snatch control from his opposition party are enough to send me running to the big white telephone calling for GEORGE! HAROLD! and HUEY!
Rumors that the National Executive Council of the ANC fear a backlash in the form of a counter revolution brought about by the recent student protest action just makes matters worse. Lets Pray.
