South Africa's most anticipated film, MANDELA: LONG WALK TO FREEDOM was released in cinemas through South Africa last week, 28th November 2013.

This epic motion picture, produced by Anant Singh and Videovision Entertainment, spans Nelson Mandela's extraordinary life, from his childhood in a rural village through to his inauguration as the first democratically elected President of South Africa. It is a film for all the people of South Africa, and for the people of the world. It is a film of courage, of tenacity, of love, of forgiveness, of working together for a common cause....and of hope.

The Ziegfeld Theatre in New York was witness to a unique event last week whenMandela: Long Walk To Freedomhad a screening hosted bysuper band,U2andAmerican Vogue's Editor in Chief,Anna Wintourwith the actors,Idris ElbaandNaomie Harris, director Justin Chadwickand special guest,Nelson Mandela'sdaughterZenaniin attendance.

Speaking after the film,Zenani Mandelacommented, "I am pleased that U2 have written this beautiful song, 'Ordinary Love' forMandela: Long Walk To Freedom.Bonoand the band have been supporters of my father and the 46664 campaign for many years and I am delighted that they hosted the screening tonight together with Anna Wintour."

Producer,Anant Singhsaid, "We thank Zenani for representing the South African team at the screening last night. The venue of The Ziegfeld Theatre is of special significance to us and to Zenani as she was with Madiba when he was the guest of honour at the benefit screening of 'Cry, The Beloved Country' for theNelson Mandela Children's Fundwhich took place there eighteen years ago."
