Activism against Gender-based Violence
Activism against Gender-based Violence
Twenty five years ago, the "16 days of Activism against Gender-based Violence" was launched and has been marked by the United Nations since then. South Africa is one of the countries which supports the campaign as one of the strategies towards creating a violence-free society. People are encouraged to wear white ribbons for the 16 days to signal their support of the campaign. The Domino Foundation's Red Light programme identifies sex-trafficked survivors and vulnerable groups and refers individuals into a restoration programme and is supporting the "16 Days of Activism" campaign.
Those who would like to know more about Red Light or any of the other Domino Foundation programmes can contact Red Light on redlight@domino.org.za or marketing@domino.org.za or 031 - 563 9605.
