Beautiful Entrepreneurial Just Juene

Beautiful Entrepreneurial Just Juene

Author: Kasia Yoko

Juene Ferreira is only seventeen years old, however she is already well into the second year of her successful business. Last year her mother Roada helped her launch a fashion line entitled Just Juene SA.

"I grew up in my parent's showroom and I have always loved everything about business." Juene told The Bugle. "I wanted to start a business when I was fourteen but my mom stopped me, she wanted me to concentrate on school - today I am glad she did that."

It was at an early age that Juene recognised the opportunity in the local fashion market, she decided to start importing high street teen fashion at affordable prices. Together with her mother they approached international suppliers and put together a collection that would be attractive and affordable to SA's teen.

"I love fashion, I love everything about fashion and the industry." Juene tells The Bugle, her eyes sparling and alert. "I have been buying my own clothes online for a couple of years and realised that it was a sure way to make money." She assured me, "The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is check the foreign exchange and pray that I will not have to increase the prices of my items."

Juene has scaled down her collection and these days concentrates on swimwear. During Mr. Price Pro 2013 Juene swimwear became an overnight success and she sold out on the first day. This year she is planning her collection carefully ensuring she has the right selection of beautiful swimsuits to suit all tastes. Juene sells most of her stock through her facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/justjuenesa and she also has a space in her mother's store at Towel Kingdom in La Lucia Ridge.

What is attractive about Juene's swimwear collection is that it appeals to most teens, and it's priced between R40 and R300. "I have always know what I wanted to do, and with the incredible help from my parents, I was able to build a brand that is recognised not just in South Africa but also on the African continent. I believe I am a natural leader and I hope my story inspires other teens to just go out and do it!"

Juene recently opened a nail bar out of her family home in La Lucia where she provides treatments for teens from surrounding schools. At Just Juene SA you can get a full body massage for just R150 and a set of funky acrylic nails for just R200.

There is no stopping Juene, the world is at her feet and the stars are at her disposal. Next year she is planning to open swimwear stores in Cape Town and Johannesburg with her own money. The Bugle wishes Juene tons and tones of success.
