New Golf Seven Point Five - Soon To Arrive

New Golf Seven Point Five - Soon To Arrive

Author: Tomas Yoko
Date: 2017-04-28

Now in its seventh generation the Volkswagen Golf has been taking the world by storm since 1974, and it just gets more popular with each generation.

In the 43 years since its inception the Volkswagen Golf has had seven clear generations with the launch of the Golf 7 still fresh in many of our memories.

Now with almost 40 million units sold, the Golf can comfortably claim cult status and as we all know, Volkswagen are famous for their passion and dedication to producing cutting edge cars with the most modern features and equipment available.

So for the first time the Volkswagen Golf will be revealing a mid-life upgrade, significant enough to make some noise about it.

The catch phrase out there is calling it the Golf 7.5, and as it is with populist movements some names just stick. This I am willing to bet will be one of those instances.

The word on the street is that the Golf 7.5 will have some minor exterior body styling changes, with the real changes being more in engine upgrades and interior styling and tech enhancements. The Golf 7.5 will have improved infotainment touch screens with enhanced compatibility for smartphone pairing and the rumour is that it will also get the Active Info Display from other VW products like the Tiguan.

Besides a mouth watering list of tech gear, the Golf 7.5 will also be getting Volkswagen's new 110 Kilowatt 250 Newton meter fifteen hundred engine, however that will probably only be later on. The new 81 kilowatt 1.0 litre engine and the GTi versions 169 kilowatt engines should be available from early May.

For more information on the exciting new Golf 7.5 contact McCarthy Volkswagen Durban on 031 - 367 6767 or visit their showroom at 40 Monty Naicker Street, Durban.
