Now We Are Six

Now We Are Six

Date: 2016-11-25
Opus1 and Mooi River Home Textiles will be celebrating their sixth year in Tongaat this December, and to add to the normal Christmas activities they will be having an even bigger sale than usual and will also extend the sale period for three weeks.

Yvonne Naidoo, manager of the factory shop remembers the first sale they had "We put up a marquee in the front garden and sold out of cardboard boxes, then the skies opened and it poured with rain. All the customers helped us carry in the stock to keep them dry!! Many of those customers still come and buy from us, and have become friends as much as customers." Said Yvonne.

Opus1 designs and manufactures linen for some of the main South African retail chains and export markets in Africa and Europe. They also design and develop their own collection of bed linen for some independent retailers. The fabrics they use are normally 100% cotton and they specialize in high thread count, top quality fabrics, however they also make a polycotton plain dye collection.

Everything is manufactured right here in Tongaat, keeping up the long-standing tradition of a textile centre of quality.

So put a BIG note in your diary for this year's Christmas and birthday sale at Opus 1, at 12 Edmund Morewood Road, Trurolands, Tongaat, from the 28th November to the 20th of December. Made in South Africa, of course!
