Get the Shivers at uShaka this Halloween!

Get the Shivers at uShaka this Halloween!

Date: 2013-10-11
Witches and werewolves will be prowling the Village Walk at uShaka Marine World this Halloween as part of the spine chilling Halloween parades that will take place every weekend until November 2 and 3.

That's why, in October, getting the shivers will have nothing to do with a dunking at Wet 'n Wild and everything to do with visits to uShaka's House of Fear created by renown set designer Greg King and eerie Phantom Ship. uShaka is going all out to both trick and treat its visitors in the lead up to one of the world's most fun filled festivals in October.

Even the friendly Village Walk has a spooky corner as you'll discover at the "House of Fear" where doors creak and ghoulish characters, coffins and blood spills greet the wary explorer. With surprises around every corner, you can get into the Halloween spirit for just R40. (PLEASE NOTE NOT FOR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGES OF 13).

Of course, we had to add a splash of magic to the whole terror-ific Halloween experience with a jaw dropping dolphin experience on October 26 and 27 at 4pm. You'll be led by colourful Halloween characters and the kids will be offered the opportunity to fill their goody-bags from all the retail stores in Village Walk as they Trick or Treat to their hearts content. The trick or treat tour led by Durban designer and stylist Kevin Ellis featuring his terror-rific costumes, will take the kids to the Wreck Aquarium in the Phantom Ship where, at 5:30pm, the uShaka Sea World dolphins will entertain young and old in a be-witching show. The show features song and dance and is aimed at children young and young-at-heart features well known songs like 'Somebody's Watching Me', 'These Boots are made for Walking' and the traditional showstopper 'Thriller'.

Dress to impress according to this year's witches and werewolves theme. A freaky fancy dress competition will mean prizes for the best dressed and most scary outfits. Tickets for the Halloween dolphin show cost R110 (adults & kids under 12). Children under 3 are free. (26th & 27th Oct). Tickets are limited, so book well in advance at Computicket outlets or at the uShaka Marine World ticketing office.
