Musical journey at the L'Aperitivo Venue
Date: 2015-04-24
A musical doctor, who blends the healing ayurvedic properties by infusing it with classical music and songs, will be making a concert appearance at the L'Aperitivo Venue in Umhlanga.
Sitar virtuoso Dr Kanada Narahari will be accompanied by Rajish Lutchman on the tabla, as the visiting duo dish out a menu of soothing sounds of Carnatic classical music while the guests tuck into Indian cuisine. In his musical journey that started at the age of nine as the son of one of India's leading exponents of classical music, Kanada qualified as an Ayurvedic doctor, later giving him space to experiment with the healing properties of classical music and he began to infuse music into his therapeutic practice.
Equally musically competent is Rajish Lutchman, who excels on a percussion instrument that is used extensively in Indian classical and popular music, consisting of a small right hand drum, dayan, and a larger metal drum, bayan.
Together this pair can cook up a storm with their dinner-styled repertoire and performances of some of the most intricate, romantic and charming tunes from the ancient land of arts and culture.
The performance is at L'Aperitivo Venue, 9 Aurora Drive, 6/7 Umhlanga Ridge, Durban at 7:30pm. Tickets are R300 pp, including an Indian Fusion Buffet, can be made on 072947 3804 / 031 825 2939 or email info@laperitivo.co.za. For more information log on to https://www.laperitivovenue.co.za.
