Apple, Today and Tomorrow

Apple, Today and Tomorrow

Date: 2013-06-20
Apple announced recently that they plan on building a factory in the USA that will begin producing a line of one of Apple's products. This seems to be a major PR stunt, and an expensive one at that, with reports saying that Apple will be investing $100m in the project.

The factory will be based in Texas and will source components made in Florida, Illonois and Kentucky to manufacture the product. Currently, Apple has kept the specifics regarding which Apple product they will be manufacturing under wraps.

Apple is very popular in America and it seems that they don't want to lose their most prized target market. This news comes after Apple hit their 50 billionth app download since 2008, when the App Store was opened with just 500 apps, it has grown to over 850,000. They hit the 50billionth download earlier this year, giving the person who made the download a $10,000 App Store gift voucher.

Apple, outdoing predictions and performing well over the expected, during the second quarter this year alone they sold 37.4 million iPhones. Can they be stopped?
