Food Music Freedom at Shongweni Market

Food Music Freedom at Shongweni Market

Date: 2016-04-22
Head to the Shongweni Farmer's & Craft Market on Freedom Day (Wednesday, April 27) for a fantastic line-up of live music, good food and chilled vibes!

Running from 10am to 6pm, the line-up includes Pretoria acoustic folk rock duo Bad Peter, as well as the fresh sound and harmonies of Simpl3 Stori3s, a vocally-driven Bloemfontein band.

Also on the bill are Durban favourites The Kickstands, Phillip Taylor, Tyler D's and Woodshed, a newly formed duo featuring singer-songwriter-guitarist John Ellis (Tree63) and drummer Bruce Baker (Landscape Prayers / Squeal).

On the food front, there will be a wide variety of stalls offering delicious artisan fare and great local craft beer, as well as a 'buy & braai' station run by qualified chefs.

Just half an hour from Durban, the venue also offers a kids zone, a select range of beautiful craft stalls, large covered hangars for both shade and shelter, plus lush grassed areas and stunning views of Kirk Falls.

Advance tickets cost R70 for adults and R30 for kids under 12. These are available at Computicket and at the Shongweni Market every Saturday leading up to the event. Tickets will also be on sale at the gate on the day: adults R100, kids R30.

Don't miss what promises to be a great day out for the whole family! Gates open at 9am. No food, beverages or chairs may be brought into the venue. Blankets are welcome.
