Time To Burn Rubber - SMD Ballito Street Heroes

Time To Burn Rubber - SMD Ballito Street Heroes

Date: 2014-09-12
This weekend, 13 & 14 September 2014, will see Ballito once again transformed into a motoring Mecca, as the host sponsor KwaDukuza Municipality welcomes back the high-revving, wheel-spinning Ballito Street Heroes event organized by the Novos group and title sponsor, the SMD group.

The main catalyst for the event returning to Ballito in 2014 has been the vision and support of the KwaDukuza Municipality, which sees the event as part of their event based Tourism strategy. For those of you who missed out on last year's action, SMD Ballito Street Heroes packs a month's worth of motorsport action into two entertaining days in the KZN North Coast town of Ballito, a must see event on the motoring calendar.

This event is proudly brought to you by the host sponsor KwaDukuza Municipality, the title sponsor SMD Group, and supported by the Ilembe Chamber of Commerce. The SMD Ballito Street Heroes will once again feature a 1.5km time trial track - approved by Motorsport South Africa, which will host many of last year's top competitors as well as new blood looking to make their mark. This year's track in the Laguna Seca precinct will be improved, with a pedestrian bridge traversing it - meaning no more track crossings and breaks in the racing action.

Ferraris, Backdraft Cobras, Porches, muscle cars, kit cars, and fully-fledged racers will be commonplace on the track as drivers look to take the crown of the ultimate Ballito Street Hero.

SMD Ballito Street Heroes 2014 will host an interactive Drifting Experience Arena, where you can be a passenger to an experienced drifter showing off his skills or witness the drifting stunt team, which contains a number of South Africa's top drifters.

There will be freestyle motocross displays, Show and Shine competitions, and 4x4 displays all scheduled to feature over the two days. For more information on the SMD Ballito Street Heroes event, please visit their website https://www.streetheroes.co.za
