KwaDukuza debate heavyweights off to India for English Odyssey

Ten member team will be jetting-off to the city of Lucknow, India for the 7th International English Odyssey (debate) on 19 August 2016.

KwaDukuza Municipality approved an amount of R135 000 for thisevent following a written proposal fromStanger High School.

"We congratulate this team for the opportunity that they are meeting, this is an historicoccasion and this is our way of re-affirming our commitment to improving the life of every boy and girl in our local schools", said the Mayor of KwaDukuza local Municipality.

We wish the debate team a safe trip and a happy stay in India, most importantly after all, they will be out there to represent our country.

Odyssey is a tribute to English Literature where innovations adorn literature and language. The objective of Odyssey is to encourage students to draw on their resourcefulness in the vistas of English Literature and to persuade them to further explore their creative acumen in the true spirit of the Renaissance.
