The Best All Rounder Just Got Better - Honda's NC750X

The Best All Rounder Just Got Better - Honda's NC750X

Date: 2014-05-02
The addition of an extra 75cc, more power and torque, twin balancer shafts, a new and improved exhaust muffler and taller gearing, is part of a host of detail upgrades which further improves one of the most cost-effective all-round motorcycles available today, the Honda NC750X.

An extra 75cc capacity boosts peak power to 40.3kW @ 6,250rpm with maximum torque of 68Nm @ 4,750rpm, meaning that both power and torque curves are considerably stronger throughout the entire rev-range. Additional instrumentation includes a span-adjustable brake lever, 2-channel ABS and off-road pattern tyres. These features make the Honda NC750X still one of the most affordable motorcycles to buy and run.

A larger 745cc engine capacity gives the NC750X more power and more torque. Even though the gearing is taller, acceleration and top speed are both improved, while the addition of twin-balancer shafts and new exhaust muffler ensures a more refined engine feel, yet still with the distinct "throb" delivered by its 270¼ firing order.

Additional features include an upright and neutral riding position with a high viewpoint for enhanced hazard perception, standard fitted lightweight two-channel ABS brakes and a digital speedometer. The NC750X also features the Honda Ignition Security System (HISS), an effective anti-theft set-up, meaning that if the ID chip embedded in the key does not match the ID in the Engine Control Unit (EDU), the engine will not start.
