Umduduzi - Hospice Care for Children Fundraising Breakfast

Umduduzi - Hospice Care for Children Fundraising Breakfast

Date: 2014-05-02
Umduduzi - Hospice Care for Children is hosting its first Fundraising Breakfast on 15th May 2014 at the Botanic Gardens at 8H30. Guest speaker, Nicola Jackman is an award-winning actress, voice artist and joy catalyst. Nicola has been affecting a more joyful, positive consciousness in Southern Africa and is the founder of the UPLiftment Programme.

Umduduzi - Hospice Care for Children is a not-for-profit organisation providing care and support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses in KZN. This service involves pain and symptom management and counselling support for both child and family. Believing that all children have the right to fun, education and play, Umduduzi also runs a structured play room and programme for children admitted to a local chronic health care facility where ill children can spend months at a time.

Dr Julia Ambler, co-founder of Umduduzi, stated that "this event will not only be about a delicious breakfast to support a good cause but is also an opportunity to hear something new and positive. Each guest will receive a goody bag and stand the chance to win some amazing prizes. All proceeds will go towards the continuing work of the organisation."
