Happy Sundays at Hotel iZulu

Happy Sundays at Hotel iZulu

Date: 2013-07-04
Last Sunday's WineMarket at Hotel iZulu was a day filled with fun and good music, fantastic food and great company.

The Wine estate featured this month was the Diemersfontein Wines and the food pairing did not fail to impress the 200 guests that gathered around the pool of the Hotel.

Local musicians that form the ban Afritude provided some fabulous tunes while the Executive Chef Tyrone Sumner prepared a delightful taster menu, which included, Seared Swordfish with Lemon & Butter Sauce, mixed Leaves with White Wine Vinaigrette paired with Thokozani White, Slow Braised Pork Belly with Star Anise, Ginger, Garlic, Chilli, Balsamic & Coriander, Lemon Rice paired with Diemersfontein Summer Lease, Roast Chicken Breast with Bacon & Sage, Cannellini Beans & Salsa Verde paired with Carpe Diem Viognier, Chicken Liver Parfait, Red Onion Marmalade, Melba Toast, paired with Maidens Prayer Red and the Moroccan Beef Tagine with Chocolate & Cinnamon, Butternut Squash Puree paired with Diemersfontein Pinotage.

And then there was the delightful chocolate cake for dessert, I wish I had that recipe.
