A Superbike At Heart

A Superbike At Heart

Date: 2012-12-06
Unmistakably superbike-inspired in its design, the Honda CBR250R boasts sculpted fairing that sweeps up from the front of the bike to a light and purposeful tail. The bike's lines are both dynamic and sophisticated, communicating the machine's dual personalities: Exciting small-capacity sports bike and practical all-rounder.

The heart of the CBR250R is an all-new liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. Employing a 4-valve cylinder head with dual overhead camshafts, the new engine was developed with an unwavering focus on efficiency and usable torque. By reducing internal friction to a minimum, the CBR250R engine boasts both gutsy performance and extraordinary fuel economy, which translates into effortless traffic-beating performance and huge rider satisfaction, in town and beyond.

The Honda CBR250R is fitted with a PGM-DSFI system that features two separate sets of injectors. These injectors are programmed to operate at low and high engine speeds to ensure optimal fuelling combustion efficiency and performance at all engine speeds and throttle openings. That's power at the twist of the wrist.

The Honda Electronic Steering Damper is an electronically controlled hydraulic rotary damper, mounted on the steering head. Damping characteristics are automatically adjusted in response to motorcycle speed and acceleration, for high-speed comfort and low-speed manoeuvrability without the rider having to have expert track set-up knowledge to extract the best from his machine on the road or the track.

For more information on the CBR250R call in at 15 Meridian Drive, Umhlanga Ridge or call ahead on 031 580 7900.
