Santa Shoeboxes for underprivileged children this Christmas!
Santa Shoeboxes for underprivileged children this Christmas!
The Santa Shoebox Project has been going since 2006 and is run by the Kidz 2 Kidz Trust. It has grown from 180 boxes donated in 2006 to over 95 000 this year.
DHS took this project on as a Community Service Project this year and asked boys to register with Santa Shoebox, choose a child in KZN and to fill and donate a shoebox as per the Campaigns requirements. Each boy who donated a box was awarded 2 Community Service points.
Overall, 65 Shoeboxes and gift bags were delivered to the collection point recently by three boys on behalf of DHS, namely Gareth Simpson, Nazeer Hoosen and Chayil Gunpath.
DHS hopes to grow this extremely inspiring Campaign next year.
