Ford Takes It Down To The Wire

Ford Takes It Down To The Wire

Date: 2012-11-21
The 2012 Absa Off Road Championship will be decided at the final round of the season, the Gold 400 on 23 November in Westonaria with Team Ford Racing still firmly in the hunt.

Chris Visser and Japie Badenhorst, won the last two rounds in their SP Ford Ranger, and are 18.5 points behind log-leaders Duncan Vos and Rob Howie, however there is a two-point swing in favour of the Ford crew if the points drop is taken into account.

The two championship leaders and the second Team Ford Racing pair of Lance Woolridge and Ward Huxtable are the only Production Vehicle crews with a 100 percent finishing records this season.

"The whole team has put in a tremendous effort to ensure both cars have crossed the finish line at every event thus far this year," says Team Manager Neil Woolridge.

A win for the Ford crew would be especially significant as the teams existing cars will next year make way for the all-new Ford Ranger.
