Freedom With the XR650L

Freedom With the XR650L

Date: 2012-05-09
A bike like the Honda XR650L lets you go just about anywhere and do just about anything. In short, it offers you the best of both on- and off-road riding and sensible transportation at a great price too.

Honda's patented RFVC allows for excellent combustion efficiency and a high power output. It's a dry sump engine, maximizing power by minimizing crank shaft windage and engine temperature. A 42.5mm constant-velocity carburettor offers crisp throttle response, excellent driveability and maximum power. The durable, five-speed transmission offers a gear for every possible on or off-road situation, making this a versatile and reliable choice for any rider. The transmission is facilitated by a reliable, heavy duty, multi-plate clutch.

The Xr650L requires only low maintenance. A maintenance-free automatic cam chain-tensioner and solid-state CD ignition with electronic advance, keep you out of the shop and on the road. The heavy-duty 520 o-ring-sealed drive chain is also significantly low on maintenance.

Honda's Pro-Link(r) Rear Suspension system offers compliant and comfortable ride quality with a high level of wheel control. It connects a single spring/damper unit to the swing arm via a progressive linkage and delivers an excellent combination of spring and damping rates over a wide range of riding conditions.

Contact us at Honda Wing Umhlanga on 031 580 7900 or visit our showroom and take an XR650L for a quick test ride. You'll find us at 15 Meridian Drive, Umhlanga Ridge.
