What is the issue

What is the issue

What a feeling of relief it was to imagine that I may not have to choke on the gag that the media in South Africa is being threaten by. The brave move from the SABC's acting Chief Exec, Jimi Mathews was like a ray of hope, like a turning point, his resignation letter apparently reading "I wish to apologise to the many people who I've let down by remaining silent when my voice needed to be heard."

I wonder what Hlaudi will say to that or whether he believes Jimi has left or not. Maybe we can just pretend it didn't happen like all the other stuff, you know the capitol on fire or maybe not on fire? Please.

Jimi I respect you so much more right now, and I hope that your actions will lead to others standing behind you and turning the tide of corruption, cronyism, maladministration, misappropriation and other very long words, that are destroying our nation while they destroy our economy. Could this be a catalyst that turns this nation around. Hopefully not as disruptive as the catalyst that the Brexit vote has brought about for Boris and Dave.

Some say that the Brexit vote is so much bigger than just Britain getting out of the EU, it is the turning of the tide in the people verses the oppressors. As Kevin Barrett wrote in VT, "But it may be too late. The breakup of the EU, thenNATO and finally the whole New World Order project has already been set in motion." Imagine such a thing? Already 400 of the World's richest people lost $USD127 Billion in the aftermath of the results of the referendum. Do you know how much that is in Rands?

Back home here is good old RSA, we also can sense the feeling of a turning of the tides with the High Court blocking Zuma's appeal against the reinstatement of the corruption charges against him. The treasury of South Africa apparently issued a report that Jacob has to pay back seven point eight million Rand for the non security upgrades to his Nkandla home. Is it possible the tides are turning?

And so as I cling to the hope that there is a God after all, I will leave you with a quote from Roger Waters' song The Tide Is Turning

"I used to think the world was flat

Rarely threw my hat into the crowd

I felt I had used up my quota of yearning

Used to look in on the children at night

In the glow of their Donald Duck light

And frighten myself with the thought of my little ones burning

But oh, oh, oh, the tide is turning

The tide is turning

Satellite buzzing through the endless night

Exclusive to moonshots and world title fights

Jesus Christ imagine what it must be earning

Who is the strongest, who is the best

Who holds the aces, the East or the West

This is the crap our children are learning

But oh, oh, oh, the tide is turning

The tide is turning

Oh, oh, oh, the tide is turning"
