Opening of New Crawford North Coast Pre-Primary School

Opening of New Crawford North Coast Pre-Primary School

Date: 2014-06-06
Fairies, fantasy, twinkling lights in the trees and a magical puppet show.

Coming to school at night was like coming into an enchanted garden!

That was how Crawford Pre-Primary North Coast officially opened its doors on Thursday, 29th May, and hosted its first public function.

Parents, guests and dignitaries from Head Office gathered in the festive courtyard and functions room for a formal reception, refreshments and speeches, while the children enjoyed games, crafts, face-painting and entertainment in the classrooms.

In an opening address, by principal Rose Humphries, she outlined the gradual transition of empty buildings perched against barren slopes into large, airy classrooms equipped with modern technology and set in an enchanting garden of rolling lawns shaded by fresh young saplings, where young children will grow and flourish, as they too plant the roots of their education.

"We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for making the evening a huge success. We are immensely privileged and delighted to be in our beautiful new school on the hill, with magnificent views.", says Humphries.
