The existential message society by large advocates is that human beings are essentially insufficient leading to feelings of less than, deficiency and unworthiness. There is a constant clang "out there" to be better and more. This "out there" creates a sense of suffering and a longing for that which one does not have and that which one is not, creating a never ending cycle of internal disturbance.

Insufficiency is an alarm bell to self aversion, separation from and a limited view of Self. Lack of self esteem, self love and self acceptance lay the foundation for a morbid experience of life. A natural reaction is to find this love and acceptance in and through others, placing this massive responsibility and expectation upon another to fill the blank space within. When the expectations are unmet, further suffering ensues.

The path to Fulfillment and Joy begins with one's Self. It's the Courage one finds to face the face in the mirror and start close in. This is where the magic of Self Love and Compassion lies. Within OURSELVES. It is our instrinsic nature. Our true nature is not of separation but of Love. Separation from Self, separation from others and further personality modifications are the effects of violence to Self first. By violence I refer to lack of basic Love and Respect of one's Self. This lack consciousness corrodes the essential nature of one's being and one is catapulted in a "doing" and not a "being".

But what if this "state" which appears to be seemingly unattainable is possible? What if enough is enough? What if who you truly are is really bigger than who you think you are? The ancient practices of Mindfulness which include Yoga, Meditation, Body Scanning and Mindful Walking are fast becoming the tools of Now. Taking one's seat on the Mat is the beginning of the path to Peace. The effects of Mindfulness are manifold and one is able to investigate extensively for the benefits of this heartfelt -journey.

It's a moment by moment take on life with Compassion and no judgment. It's cultivating an embodied way of living through Loving Kindness and the ability to observe and lean into one's Self with a curiosity no matter what arises. When one can sit with the issues and troubles and hurts and sores and prettys, all as it appears without the need to change it, this is when a softening of the Heart begins and suddenly there is a spaciousness, a place for one's Self, an untamed Equanimity held in Love and Awareness. It's the Truth one finds.
