Don't Dalla - Its Red hot Comedy!

Don't Dalla - Its Red hot Comedy!

Date: 2012-05-23
Courting controversy, ruffling feathers and pushing the boundaries is what he does best.

The enigmatic and charismatic - Karou Charou, who shot to fame with his controversial, educational and very funny Kama Sutra Show, and most recently Beauty & Da Charou, is back in town with his latest production aptly titled Don't Dalla Wid Da Masala.

What link does Paris Hilton have with a cane farmer's son from Umkomaas. How did the Indian community affect a global icons sense of dress? Can there be humour in a family funeral? And who uses brasso to brush their teeth. All will be revealed in Karou's new show.

Always re-defining himself and his act, the Turbaned one has a few new "TRICKS" up his sleeve, which include some involving a pack of cards. He also dabbles in a bit of magic and his mental telepathy stunt, using a pack of cards, 2 audience members and an ordinary egg beater, will leave you gob smacked.

If that's not enough, to smack your gob, then maybe his ability to bend spoons and other utensils will. Hoping to branch into music when he's too old to do comedy, Karou introduces music to his programme and the "Flop Idols" set is a real crowd pleaser.

True to form the F-Bombs drop quick and fast from his lips, but Karou Charou is the first to admit that his "Toilet Humour" is designed purely for entertainment purposes, nothing more, and he advises all lovers of "fine" comedy to "park by the pozie," loosely translated to mean "not for you, stay at home."

Don't Dalla Wid Da Masala will premier at the Sibaya Casino on 01& 02 June 2012. Tickets are R100-00 at Computicket/Shoprite/Checkers. Enquiries: 083 660 1424.
