Whats The Issue?

Whats The Issue?

"When you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European, or anything else, you are being violent. Do you see why it is violent? Because you are separating yourself from the rest of mankind. When you separate yourself by belief, by nationality, by tradition, it breeds violence. So a man who is seeking to understand violence does not belong to any country, to any religion, to any political party or partial system; he is concerned with the total understanding of mankind." These are the sentiments of Jiddu Krishnamurti, a very wise and self realized man. It is asking a bit much of us to be able to wipe out our distinctions and differences, but then the easy stuff isn't always the most worthwhile stuff.

Our divisiveness as a species on this planet is cause for most of our social ills, just look at what is happening in the Ukraine. The Ukraininas have initiated the draft seeking to bring around a hundred thousand of its young people into the military service. The Donetsk Republic (Rebel separatists) are outraged saying that this undermines the peace agreements and even some of the Ukrainians are peeved because dodging the draft is met with five years in prison.

Now if we all listened to Jiddu they would be friends and grow more veggies, farm the land and educate their children.

Speaking of education, I know someone who is in dire need of some. Anyway it may be too little too late but the battle over the DA's sms that offered to show how Zuma stole the money to pay for Nkandla seems to have been a win win situation with both parties coming out saying "Hooray" it was only an opinion. Zuma says that Nkandla was not his fault so we can all put the matter to rest now, the tax man probably wont see a cent returned and we wont ever find out exactly who did all those upgrades.

There are more important things to worry about than that drivel, we have come so far and now we are being helped along by our friendly neighbor, Namibia, who is giving us some two hundred megawatts of power so that we can keep the lights on.

Then there is the eToll saga, it looks as though they are going to continue to try and shove this one down our throats, whether we swallow or not. A little sugar coating is all they think it needs, reduce the admi costs a little and hey presto here we go eTolls for all. Soon it will be in your province, watch. The fat cats still get their cream and the exporting of South African cash will go on as planned and probably already paid for or at least promised.

So while Boko Haram proves they are a diabolical nauseating movement, ISIS looks to enrage the Japanese by ransoming two of their citizens for two hundred million dollars. In Europe PEGIDA (Patriotic Europeans Against Islamization of the West) is spreading their divisiveness and no one seems to be listening to Jiddu. So sad.
