Fashion by the Sea - take 2!

Fashion by the Sea - take 2!

Date: 2013-06-20
After the recent postponement of Fashion by the Sea due to inclement weather, dates have been set for both models and designers to strut their stuff at Moyo on the Pier at uShaka Marine World on Wednesday, July 3 from 18h30.

Still themed 'Fashion Meets Music', this exciting fashion showcase features the big names such as David Tlale, Duke, Kathrin Kidger; Dax Martin; Karen Monk-Klijnstra; Zarth and C-Squared as well as seven of the exciting young designers who were selected for internships in Italy's fashion capital, Milan, during last year's Durban Fashion Fair. Look out for Karla Lortan of Karla Lortan, Amanda Van Tonder of VTON International, Treasure Cindi of House of Treasure Cindi, Sandile Mlambo of House of Alfalfa, Shaun Dugen of Nguni Shades, Mxolisi Mkhize of House of St Luke and Miles Lutuli of Lutuleigh as they show a true mŽlange of Africa and Europe against the backdrop of Durban's glitzy Golden Mile.

Sindi Shangase, the Business Support Program Manager for the eThekwini Municipality Business Support, Tourism and Markets Unit, said Fashion by the Sea is now one of many fashion events that would be a precursor to the city's most anticipated fashion event of the year - the Durban Fashion Fair which takes place in August 22-25!

"We are very pleased that this show is going to be taking place and every provision has been made to ensure that it will be an event to remember. All the designers are looking forward to showcasing their talents on the catwalk and obtaining exposure to new and existing markets," she said.

Those that had purchased tickets for the Fashion by the Sea event that was postponed can now bring these to the new event on Wednesday, July, 3. For more information visit https://www.durbanfashionfair.com and Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/DurbanFashionFair
