Dear Ed, Re: SA AND SRI LANKA

Dear Ed, Re: SA AND SRI LANKA

Dear Ed,

Re: SA AND SRI LANKA

Enough is enough. That's what the Sir Lankans not only said but also escalated to reality by storming and occupying the presidential premises and causing President Ramapaksa and his cronies to flee, noting that he and his brothers and relatives had ruled this beautiful country by unashamed nepotism and lived opulent lives while the general population lived in lack and general hardship and poverty. Do you think the people of South Africa will take a leaf from the Sri Lankan book and unseat President CM Ramaphosa similarly, whose term of office has been mired in controversy, failure and abysmal lack of good leadership. In fact this President has, for the greater part, continued the rot, degradation and brazen criminality, which were the hallmarks of the term of office of erstwhile President JG Zuma, the tainted and corrupt geriatric from Nkandla, who blandly professed all along tediously that he "did no wrong" - what utter nonsense ! Sadly, as educated and intelligent many of the local masses may be, they do not use such positive attributes wisely, especially at the ballot box. It is noted that here and especially abroad due both to actions of voters, coupled with inaction of non-voters, many corrupt and/or heartless rulers, including tyrants, despots and dictators, like Robert Mugabe, Dos Santos and Duterte, have been allowed to rule with iron fists, not only for years, but decades, with most of the citizens relegated to lives of abject poverty, misery, hardship and suffering.

Please citizens arise from your deep slumber and use wisdom, discretion and discernment in future, for the nation's betterment, noting that the next national elections are some 19 months away - and its not too early to start thinking seriously about this crucial issue.

Ulala Usala! God Bless South Africa , our beautiful country that needs human wisdom and especially divine help to eradicate the rot and evils of diverse kinds that bedevil us.

Kind regards

Simon Timothy
