The Crescent Shopping Centre

The Crescent Shopping Centre

Date: 2014-09-05
Due to the success and popularity of Rhino meets Reality campaigns in past two years, The Crescent has embarked on Rhino meets Reality for its third consecutive year.

This year, a 50 cent coin collection is being held between the 20th August and 22 September.

You will notice a Life size fully beaded Rhino in the Pick n Pay arcade, which is being auctioned as a beautiful art piece, bidding starts from R250, and all proceeds will go towards Project Rhino KZN. In 2013, The Crescent hosted its second art exhibition with wildlife inspired artwork from local schools (Grade R - Grade 7) between the 26 July and 13 September 2013. The artwork focused on five endangered animals: Rhino, Lion, Cheetah, Elephant and Wild dog.

The art we have received from the schools was utterly amazing and the messages were so touching, that we couldn't let this just be displayed to our loyal shoppers. Selected art from the competition has been included in the A4 Rhino meets Reality Coffee Table Book which is being sold to raise funds for Project Rhino KZN through the selected school network in the Ballito/Umhlanga/Durban North areas.

Sales of The Rhino meets Reality Coffee Table Books will also be made available in-centre and Centre Management, where all proceeds collected from the coin collection, auction and coffee table books will be donated to Project Rhino KZN

So we need to start collecting as much coins as possible.
So why not drop off that loose change of 50 cent pieces in the collection box available throughout the Centre!
