VickyCristina's presents honest cuisine

VickyCristina's presents honest cuisine

Date: 2013-03-28
VickyCristina's Tapas Bar Restaurante in Umhlanga Rocks has added a new dimension to dining out in the Village with a menu that's all about authentic flavours and traditional ingredients.

While tapas has become a popular term for small portions of every kind, nothing quite compares to the original and Spanish cuisine boasts some irresistible combinations. Barcelona-native and unofficial brand ambassador Ariadna Aguilar keeps the chefs honest, making certain that the traditional dishes on the menu taste just like they do back home.

Authentic favourites like Serrano ham, lomo, sardines, quail and gourmet chorizo compliment more familiar fare on VickyCristina's unique conveyor, which has been reinvented as a two-tier spot-lit display. The light, fragrant heart-shaped coques are much more than a Spanish alternative to pizza, and the desserts are guilty pleasures. The San Miguel beer alone is worth a visit, and salsa dancers perform every night at 8 pm. Booking is essential.
