Driving The Audi SQ5

Driving The Audi SQ5

Author: Tomas Yoko
Date: 2017-11-09

The Audi Q5 is a show stopper on its own, however when I was introduced to the range topping Audi SQ5 TFSI my excitement levels started building to a creshendo.

The SQ5 takes luxury SUV to new heights, this is Audi setting benchmark precedents for all other brands to follow. They endowed the SQ5 with their latest three litre V6 TFSI engine and packed enough muscle into this SUV to hop from standstill to a hundred kilometres per hour in just 5,4 seconds. So with the sprint out the way, the petrolheads noe know that power and performance cannot be questioned in the SQ5.

Going beyond the 260 kilowatts of power, the Audi SQ5 offers a level of driver and passenger comfort that even the most discerning car enthusiast will recognise as superior.

For me it was everything, from the gear selector that seemed to appear in my hand whenever I wanted to change gear. It seemed intuitive, as if it knew me. Enthusiastic sporty driving in the SQ5 was enhanced by the incredible balance the suspension and chassis provided. Road holding was a dream come true.

If you are towing your double horse box or your super cat, then you will want to be towing it with the 500 Newton metres of torque that the Audi SQ5 delivers. It is eye wateringly powerful and the sensation of all that thrust and accelleration makes driving theis car thrilling, as an understatement.

There is so much technology crammed into the SQ5, stuff you may never know is there, safety systems, driver aids, and the most amazing GPS and instrument display, which the Q5 is fast becoming famous for.

McCarthy Audi Durban will gladly arrange for you to test drive the Q5, they may even arrange for the SQ5, either way I suggest you call them on 031 - 314 5000 or visit them at their showroom, 200 Stalwart Simelane Street in Durban.
