But it won't be all razzle dazzle as the students will be involved in an intensive training programme which will include learning about the business element, participating in a complete value chain of the business and providing access to various fashion hubs, exhibitions and fashion fairs around the city of Milan to give each student an insight into the different types of work that designers in the fashion capital produce as well as the markets, which will in turn provide networking opportunities. They will also gain valuable insight about the ins and outs of fashion which will put them in good stead to compete on a truly professional level and after their training is complete, each student will be expected to produce their own collection with the skills and inspiration they have gained from their experience.

There will be a three day show, a buyers lounge, pop-up shops and the mentorship programme, as well as workshops to those designers participants" said Sindi Shangase, Programme Manager for eThekwini Municipality Business Support, Tourism and Markets Unit.
