Enter the new Hyundai Tucson, with a whole host of new tech and a myriad of changes, making the new SUV that much more desirable than it already was. The panoramic sunroof is huge and gives light and delight to all passengers.
One feature of the external design of the new Tucson is the 3D parametric-style grille, which has the daytime running lights integrated into grille. It really makes the new Tucson unmistakable with the lights on, a genius piece of design engineering on its own.
On the inside the Tucson continues to wow, with a very pleasing instrument panel that delivers all the info. The opulent leather upholstery that seems wall to wall, is crafted with excellence and everything from the multi functional steering wheel to the huge colour screen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto plus a wireless charger in the centre consol. Such a comforting feature that is, and speaking of comfort, the Tucson environment made me feel I was in a space that I could very easily become accustomed to. With amazing features like the diffused aircon, (ask your salesman to demonstrate this feature to you) different drive modes and so much on offer, the Tucson cabin is a seamless space of comfort and confidence.
A lot of the confidence comes from the car, maybe all of it. Hyundai have embellished the new Tucson with their most advanced technology to date. The cruise control is supported by features like lane following and lane keeping assist. The blind spot detection really catches your attention and the Rear Collision Avoidance Assist and forward Collision Avoidance Assist is state of the art.
For me the real joy was the sheer handling pleasure delivered by the Hyundai Tucson, braking, cornering, accelerating, on the open road or off the beaten track, the Tucson behaved with total composure. Available in petrol and diesel derivatives, with an industry leading 7 Year or 200 000km
