During the week of the 6thof August a group of learners from Glenashley Preparatory School took part in a municipal library competition held in the Tongaat libraries.

The learners took part in three different categories in the competition. On the Tuesday Aaqib Osman in Grade 7 competed in a quiz on three specific books as well as some general knowledge questions. This was held at Tongaat Beach Library.

The Thursday saw the Grade 6's took part in the story writing component at Tongaat Central Library. Prajna Gounder, Ruhaan Balliram, Sanaa Rana, Tejal Dayanand and Sikhona Ncgobo entered in their own creative writing stories.The results of which will only be made available in September.

Thursday also included a story telling competition where Zipporah-Rose NadasenfromGrade 5 enjoyed sharing the story of Alice in wonderland to the auidience. She looks forward to doing the creative writing next year in Grade 6.

All the learners received certificates and gifts for being a part of the competiton. The certificates were handed over by Yashica Moodley the new Librarian at Glenashley Library.
