White is the new black for cars

White is the new black for cars

While I am not a big fan of white cars, and my family has always been opposed to owning white cars because they reminded them of refrigerators, I do own a white car and I must say I do love it unconditionally.

As someone who does not listen to the radio while driving, I often play car games and one of them is counting cars. Counting red cars, blue cars, orange cars and so on, however the other day I decided to count white cars and to be honest the game was up in couple of minutes as I reached 99 in under a minute and where was the fun in that

So why are so many people buying white cars And when did the primary colour of refrigerators become so popular in cars

There are some theories that believe that the latest car designs and shapes can be enhanced by the colour white while others attribute the white car trend to the "Apple effect" where the iPod and MacBook were at the cutting edge of design and if you wanted your product to look trendy and futuristic, white became the default choice.

Experts believe that white cars will hold their value across the board better than any other colour of the proverbial colour spectrum. It's currently a more desirable colour and can increase the resale value by up to 25 per cent.

With car manufacturers introducing sexy new colour ranges such as Mitsubishi with their Winning Turquoise Pearl, Kia and their Vanilla Shake and Ford and their Tangerine Scream colour, one thing is for certain, fashion trends come and go and car colours, just like the models, will change in the near future.
