Silvestone Swaddled

Silvestone Swaddled

Lewis Hamilton made history this weekend when he became the first F1 driver to win the F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone three times in a row. The fact that it is his home track and that the crowd were baying for his victory may have had a lot or a little to do with it, but the weather certainly was not ideal.

Mercedes-Benz must be happy with another one-two while Hamilton was obviously ecstatic with having shaved his teammates lead down to just one point for the championship.

Just when Ferrari thought they were closing in on Mercedes-Benz, the Red Bull team appeared in their rear view mirrors with their RB12 machines raking back 18 points in their differential.

Max Verstappen wowed the F1 world once again with his splendid show of talent, giving Nico Rosberg a run for his money and following him over the finish line.

Things are hotting up in the season and the turn around to the rest of the tracks will favour the Red Bull team a little. It will get more and more exciting as the season goes on.

Once again the wet and the dry played an important role in the tyre selection and will do so again in the next event, which is to be held in Budapest, Hungary, on the weekend of the 22nd to the 24th. If you miss it, catch it in The Bugle.
