Floral Art Club Durban - International Demonstration By Malcolm Kitt

Floral Art Club Durban is going International on Tuesday 27th August.

We are delighted to announce that MALCOLM EDWIN KITT from Cobh, County Cork, Ireland is going to present a 'Floral Extravaganza' for our stage presentation.

Malcolm left S.A.
In 2000 to the position of Head Gardener for Sir and Lady Pilkington in England. Whilst there he competed in the World Flower show in Scotland in 2002 and at the Chelsea flower show a number of times.

He assisted David Davidson and Raymond Hudson in the Kirstenbosch exhibit at Chelsea where the stand received a Gold Award.

He also participated in the Flower Festival in San Francisco, California.

After moving to Ireland Malcolm has held the position of Interior Landscape Manager for Floral Décor Elegance Florist and wholesale supplier in Cork.

Malcolm is a popular demonstrator in England, Northern Ireland and The Republic of Ireland. Malcolm also teaches container gardening to physically disabled students and Flower arranging to two colleges and a school in Cork.

Malcolm has lived in Cobh for about 12 years on a perfectly manicured half acre landscaped garden which is open to the public.

Previously to moving overseas Malcolm was Chairman of the Institute of Parks, Recreation & Administration.

He was a member of Durban and Coast Horticultural Society, and Westville Horticultural Society, he was also involved in the Natal Rose Society and a Floral Art Judge.

The Floral Art Club meeting will be at the Westville Civic Centre on 27th August starting at 09h15 sharp.

Tea will be served mid morning and the floral art competition will be on display after tea. The show will start immediately after prizegiving and will end at 12h00.

Visitors are welcome at R60 per person with tea included. Paid up Members are free.
