Swing into action for Autistic Children

Swing into action for Autistic Children

Date: 2013-01-23
The Lenn Watson Foundationis a community based, not for profit, Association andhas been established to bring Help and Hope to families living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)in South Africa.

The Lenn Watson Foundation raises funds that will help provide treatment and equipment for families who all too often simply cannot afford the things that will enhance their children's lives. Frighteningly, there are only 9 schools for children with autism in the entire country and according to recent statistics, one in every 110 children in South Africa is born with autism.

The Lenn Watson Foundation has been established to make a positive difference to the lives of children and their families living with autism in South Africa, as children with autism have special needs in terms of education and life skills. Alittle-understood disorder whose victims live in a world of isolation, unable to communicate or control their body movements.

The Lenn Watson Foundation aims to:

  • Raise funds to establish a small non-profit school for Autistic children in Ballito with qualified therapists (the Ballito and surrounding areas have no such facilities)
  • Raise funds for families who cannot afford therapists/schooling that could drastically enhance their lives and free these children who are locked inside themselves.

If you wish to donate to the Lenn Watson Foundation please see banking details below: All donations are strictly via eft or bank deposits only as we do not accept cashas it is important that the money raised by the Lenn Watson Foundation be accounted for and that the beneficiaries of the foundation be noted. In this regard the LWF will publish where the funds raised are being donated.

A receipt from The LW Foundation for Autism will then be furnished to you for any contributions received.
