The Gala Event, which included Guests from various backgrounds and members from some of the projects PSK Foundation has already undertaken showcased the aims and mission of the Foundation.
The PSK foundation began its work many years ago unofficially through the dedication and the perseverance of family work through community centers and programs.
The foundation strives to alleviate poverty and suffering through variable approaches, some of which include education, skills building, sustainability projects to encourage independent entrepreneurs, feeding schemes, and health care as well as emotional and psychological support.
Their Mission is to work with the poor and oppressed says Sadha Govender the Chairman of the Foundation we aim to promote human transformation, seek justice, and bear witness to the best way we can change lives one breath at a time.
They pursue this mission through integrated, holistic commitment to: Transformational development that is community-based and sustainable, focused especially on the needs of children. Guests and various stakeholders at function had an opportunity to meet the board of Trustees made up of a dynamic team from multidisciplinary backgrounds that include entrepreneurs, health care workers, educators, and spiritualists, media personalities all of whom have come from humble beginnings and are dedicating their experiences to shaping a brighter future for our communities.
Currently the PSK Foundation is working on the following projects in around the KZN region Buffelsdale Primary School,Umzamo School, Street Wise Foundation, Montabello and Sinakekele Childrens Home,
The foundation encourages open interaction with anyone wanting to volunteer time or services.
