Praise Mkhize was born in Umhlali twenty-three years ago, and has always dreamed of big skies and far away places. Recently Praise was chosen as a finalist in The iLembe Chamber's Entrepreneur 2021 business accelerator programme. With an electrical engineering degree from Mangosuthu University of Technology, Praise is heading for greatness.
After receiving a university scholarship, and a highly sought-after senior year internship at Samsung at Dube Tradeport, where Praise soon progressed to floor supervisor, where he thrived in this high tech international environment.
"As a kid I loved taking things apart and seeing how they work," Praise told The Bugle, "I used to take radios and TVs apart and then put them together again. I love seeing broken things come to life again."
It was a big blow when Covid hit and Samsung was forced to shut their doors. Praise became one of many unemployed graduates with almost no job prospects in dismal a local economy.
