The Hyundai i20 N Line - Tested Fine

So there I was, stuck behind a cane truck on the N2, thinking, "What better time to test the new Hyundai i20 N's patience?" This new pocket rocket is Hyundai's latest endeavour to inject some fun into our daily drive. And they have overachieved in that direction.
First off, the i20 N's 1.0-liter turbocharged engine isn't messing around. It's a three-cylinder mill that packs 89.5 kW of power. Spirited performance is enhanced by the 7 speed DCT gearbox and an amazing exhaust sound. Hyundai promises fuel consumption around 6.9 liters per 100 km. I cruised through traffic and out on the open road without needing to empty my wallet at the pump.
And of the design? Confident body lines and comfort rich interior is filled with all the N Line badges, sporty bumpers, a long list of safety features and those twin exhaust pipes that scream, "I'm here to perform!" The interior is sophisticated, understated with discreetly N-branded seats, red stitching, and a Bose sound system that made even my questionable playlist sound epic. A sunroof as standard along with ESP, HAC and cruise control with a multi-function steering wheel.
As usual, Hyundai backs it all up with a 7-year/200,000 km warranty, which is a long-term relationship even your mom would approve of. Add a 4-year/60,000 km service plan and 7 years of roadside assistance, and you're set for exciting motoring.
If you're looking for a hatchback that's not just a pretty face but also delivers where it counts, the Hyundai i20 N is your go-to. Just be prepared for the occasional jealous glance from cane truck drivers.
