Nipper Carnival

Nipper Carnival

Date: 2014-11-21

Last weekend saw the Nipper Carnival take place at Marine SLC's home beach and, once again, a great turnout came out even in the tough conditions. These carnivals are a wonderful arena for the children to get to grips with the competitive side of Nippers.

Nipper Surf Lifesaving is a great way to safely introduce children (from ages six to 14 years) to our ocean. It can be advanced to provincial and national levels and is complimentary to many other sports. Most of all, Surf Lifesaving is a fun way to get the whole family together outdoors!

Normal training times are from 8am to 10am on a Sunday morning. The team are mobile and conduct surf training where the surf best suits their nippers, but generally train between Umhlanga Rocks and uShaka.

The Nipper Surf Lifesaving season officially starts in September, however from the end of July Netcare Rox Nippers will be holding training sessions specifically aimed at introducing new nippers to Surf Lifesaving. If you are interested in getting your child to become a Netcare Rox Nipper contact Lynette for a try-out training session.
