When the chance came to test-drive the new Jeep Grand Cherokee I snatched the opportunity with both hands on the wheel.
Jeep's showroom opposite Gateway in Umhlanga Ridge has a selection of the new 'Numzaan' of SUV's available to test and Jeep's Sales Manager, Grant Gibson handed the lithe keys to a black Grand Cherokee waiting in the shade.
From the onset it was obvious that Jeep had given the new Grand Cherokee more than just a facelift. The huge digital display and new steering wheel made the statement of bold sophistication an unquestionable message.
The test drive was just enough to whet my appetite. I will have to wait for my test vehicle to really put all three legendary Jeep four-wheel drive systems through their paces. The New Jeep is equipped with Quadra-Trac II, Quadra-Drive II and Jeep's SRT-exclusive Quadra-Trac. Add to that Quadra-Lift air suspension and the Selec-Terrain and Selec-Track traction management systems and you have a luxury off road vehicle that can take you just about anywhere you might like to go.
The combination of Jeep's legendary power and the ultimate luxury of the new interior creates a feeling like no other. Speak to Grant or any one of their friendly sales staff at Jeep Umhlanga and treat yourself to a unique driving experience. Call them on 031 576 1500 or pop into their showroom at 2 Canegate Road, Umhlanga Ridge.
